SlipRing respects your privacy.
This policy explains how SlipRing, LLC handles information across its websites, products, and services, including CIMOS.
Our approach
Collect less. Use it carefully. Explain what happens.
SlipRing designs its public website and products to collect only the information needed to operate them, provide requested functionality, improve reliability, and protect users and systems. We do not sell personal or health-related information, and we do not use information you submit for targeted advertising.

Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to SlipRing, LLC websites, products, and services that link to it, including slipring.ai and CIMOS at app.cimos.health. “SlipRing,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to SlipRing, LLC. CIMOS is a SlipRing product.
The SlipRing corporate website provides information about our work and federal contracting capabilities. It does not currently include public account registration or a contact form. CIMOS is an early demonstration of a rare-condition navigation tool and is intended to be explored only with fictional or example information.

Information we handle
When you visit a SlipRing website
Our hosting and security providers may process limited technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, requested pages, timestamps, and security events. SlipRing currently runs no analytics, advertising tracker, third-party script, or nonessential cookie on this site.
When you contact us
If you email SlipRing, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, organization, and message. Please do not send sensitive personal, medical, classified, controlled unclassified, export-controlled, or other confidential information unless SlipRing has expressly authorized an appropriate channel.
When you use CIMOS
CIMOS is intended for fictional or example information. Please do not enter real personal or medical details. Depending on the features you use, CIMOS may handle:
- Your sign-in email, access role, and an optional fictional preferred first name stored with your private CIMOS account.
- Working diagnosis details, diagnostic types or a “None yet” choice, researcher names, Private Records, saved Questions and selected doctor labels, doctor invitation emails and relationship history, and creation or update dates. Saved Questions are separate from text entered into AI features.
- A legacy condition that has not been reviewed and saved, and browser-only treatment progress, which remain only in that browser.
- Text entered into “Talk about my condition” or voice features, which is used to generate a response.
- Limited technical request information processed by our hosting and security providers. SlipRing does not currently run optional analytics on this site.

CIMOS, AI features, and health information
Important: CIMOS does not provide medical advice, diagnose or treat conditions, or replace care from a licensed physician. It is a demonstration product and should not be used with real personal or medical information. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate care.
AI-generated content
To produce condition overviews and answer questions, CIMOS sends the condition name and your questions to a third-party AI provider, OpenAI, which processes them to generate a response. Do not include real personal or medical information in anything you send to AI features. Condition information is compiled by AI from medical sources and is for general information only—not medical advice or a diagnosis.
Cookies and browser storage
CIMOS uses browser local storage for session-specific and legacy demo state, such as an unsaved legacy condition and browser-only treatment progress. Clearing browser storage removes that browser state but does not delete information saved to your CIMOS account.
On this SlipRing site, the Privacy choices control stores only your explicit choice and the applicable consent version in this browser. Neither choice enables tracking today. If optional technology is introduced later, SlipRing must change the consent version and ask again before relying on an earlier choice. Browser settings may block or delete browser storage.
Owner-only development messaging
CIMOS has a narrow, low-volume messaging program for Dave, the CIMOS product owner, only. It sends content-free alerts asking him to return to the desktop for development review or approval. It does not send patient, clinician, customer, prospect, other development-team member, marketing, medical, or private-content messages, and it is not available to the public.
Dave must affirmatively opt in before alerts may be sent. Sending remains blocked unless his stored opt-in state is true, and consent may be withdrawn at any time by replying STOP. His mobile number and SMS consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. They may be handled only by providers needed to operate and secure the program. See the CIMOS SMS Terms and Conditions.

How we use and share information
SlipRing may use information to:
- Operate our websites, products, accounts, and requested features.
- Generate CIMOS condition information and responses.
- Respond to communications and manage business relationships.
- Understand usage, improve our services, maintain security, and prevent misuse.
- Comply with law and protect rights, safety, users, and systems.
We may share information with service providers that help operate our services, including hosting, database, authentication, communications, analytics, and AI providers. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.
SlipRing does not sell personal or health-related information. We do not use information you submit for targeted advertising.

Retention, choices, and rights
Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, security, and operational requirements. Information saved to a private CIMOS account remains until you delete an item where that control is available, clear the optional preferred first name from Account, or ask us to delete account information. Browser-only information remains until you clear browser storage for the site; doing so does not delete account information.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent. To make a request, email privacy@slipring.ai. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
If you ask us to delete other information we hold, we will make reasonable efforts to do so, subject to legal, security, and operational requirements.

Other important information
Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no website or system is completely secure. Please do not submit information you are not comfortable sending online.
Children’s privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate parental or guardian consent. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us.
HIPAA and medical disclaimer
CIMOS is not a healthcare provider, health plan, or HIPAA-covered entity, and information submitted may not be protected by HIPAA. Using CIMOS does not create a physician-patient relationship or enroll you in research or a clinical trial. SlipRing nevertheless treats any health-related information as sensitive.
International visitors
SlipRing operates from the United States. If you access our services from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
